If we could only hear there thoughts, or can we? So much can be communicated to a dog both verbally and through body language it just absolutely amazes me. How in agility you can direct a dog by how we position our shoulders and in hunting we can get them to respond to a blast of the whistle.

But, what do they say to us? Dogs too can speak verbally with a bark or a whine and even through body language themselves. A careful eye can observe when dogs talk back.

I was just curious if anyone else has similar experiences they can share where there dogs talked to them in different situations?

Cassi is a Master Hunter now and she very much knows how to hunt for birds and understands the game we play in the field is a team effort. I shoot most of her birds for her and this one cold morning I missed her bird twice and she let me know she did not approve. She kept her feet still head was up and she began to bark at me as she watched the bird fly off. As if I wasn't upset with myself enough.... Confused

LOL! Cassie just knew Mike! Laughing
Well, whenever the shotgun comes out Danni gets hysterical. -Besides that she's relatively a quiet dog.
Actually during bird season I had a somewhat similar situation. One day I kept missing all the Gambles she pointed. Urrgh or Doh -And I felt bad because it was her first bird season. Well, after I had missed the last one she had disappeared and 5 minutes later she came back with a quail in her mouth. Shocked It had been dead for a short time, a couple hours. About 15 minutes later she does the same thing! This time the bird had been dead for days. I guess she figured since I can't hit them, she'd find dead ones herself. Rolling Eyes

On the other hand, my parent's Springer Spaniel on the other hand is the exact opposite. I've never heard a more vocal dog in my life. I can name numerous instances when Lucy talks back...verbally. Laughing
