| My weim is scratching constantly and I can't figure out why! It's been going on for two weeks now. She doesn't have any fleas, she doesn't roll around in the grass, she's only outside for a couple minutes to go to the bathroom, and we've tried changing her food but it hasn't helped. Anyone have any ideas? |

weims are prone to allergies whether it be seasonal, food or fleas. Do you use regular monthly flea prevention??? Eventhough you don't see fleas dogs can be bothered by the flea bit. Fleas generally only go on the dog to take their bloodmeal. The rest of the time they jump off and live in the environment. Seasonal allergies is a huge issue to. depending on your location in the world some allergens are more perdominant than others in certain areas. You best bet is to make a trip to your vet and the will help sort out that is bothering you baby. They will certainly have something to relieve the itching and help prevent this in the future
Good luck! |

Take a look at the ingredients in the food she's had. Corn is a very common allergy it seems. If corn was in any of her food, I'd start there - eliminate that and give it a few weeks to see if you notice an improvement. In the meantime, wipe her down with some wet towels when she comes in from outside, just in case it's something out there.
good luck! |

This is way off from allergies, but check her skin. Does it seem dry or flakey?
It could be that her skin is just dry and its bothering her. If thats the case there are hypoallergenic shampoos and oatmeal shampoos for dogs that help moisturize the skin. |
