Five Year Old Weimaraner to Good Home!!!! (Annapolis)

I have a five year old Weimaraner that I am looking for a good home for. Delaney is sweet, good with children, fun (he loves to swim and fetch), and will love your pants off. The perfect home for Delaney is a place that is full of life, and where he will have a good place to run.
Unfortunatly we are moving out of state and will not be able to take him with us, I am in no hurry and will only let him go to the perfect people. |

| At the moment I'm not sure if DCWR will be able to take him in. I know I can't unless it's VERY short term. However, I would be able to assist in a transport. I did contact Karin, and am waiting for a reply, but she has her hands FULL right now so I don't expect that she'd be able to take him unless she knows someone else. |

| Unfortunately, I think it's that way for a lot of rescues right now... there are just not enough fosters for all the Weims that are looking for new homes. |

*darn* Kel,
If only we had a little money....wouldn't it be great if we had a way and could find a property to have a small rescue facility?? |

This is something I'd do in a heartbeat if I could afford it! Maybe one day.
Oh...and Karin said she was contacted by these people but she responded to them and they never got back to her. Which I feel is good sometimes, with rescues being so full I'd rather see a owner try to rehome their dog themselves than dropping it of at a shelter. It sounds like they'll be picky, I'm going to email them and encourage them to do a home check. |

When I hit the lotto we are so there, Lynn!
Can DC do a courtesey post if they are full-up?
DC's not so far from NYS, what if we did a train? If we have a few folks to drive and hr or so each, we could get Delaney there in a weekend. I know I'd help... I've driven to Allentown a few times for p/u's and drop off's...
any word on what's happening w/ him as of Monday? |

Hi guys,
Ok so on August 1st we are going to NY, Staten Island for a wedding and we can help transport. Not sure what the time frame is.
As for fostering i would consider it if the i can get him after the 9th of August. The reason why is bc we are closing on our house this Friday the 25th then we have to wait until the 9th of August to move our stuff in since we will be out of town in the meanwhile.
Let me know. |

| I emailed them and they never got back to me. Karin said they never returned her email either so they probably don't want any help. IMO, that's probably best since there are so many Weims that need to be pulled from shelters. If a rescue had room for a Weim I'd rather the space go to one that really needs it. |
