| There are two weims at the Joplin Missouri Humane society. I went to look at them last weekend. Its a male and a female. They are very very sweet. The female is a stray about a year and a half, and the previous owner of the male moved and gave him up. I would love to take them home but cant. Please someone help them. |

| The rescue that covers Missouri is Heartland. I think they are aware of the dogs (well, I know they are aware there is at least one there.. ). Unfortunately, I don't know if they have any foster homes available right now. |

Love and patience mostly
Most of the rescues you can contact and get an applciation... I think alot of them require a 'deposit' of sorts just in case you fall in love and can't give them up... |

Contact them for a volunteer application and let them know you'd like to foster. Usually an approved app and a home visit is all it takes! |

Heartland (usually) requires a fenced yard, but exceptions have been made. Other than that, it's good to have an understanding and experience with Weims. You don't have to rehome other pets or kids...
If you would like to apply, here is contact information to get a volunteer form or ask any questions:

I could answer a few basic questions if you want to send me a PM. |

I am a volunteer with Heartland. We always need more foster homes. We fill up so quickly. All you really need is patience, a warm heart, loving home, and of course knowledge and love of the breed. |
